Social Networking

It’s amazing how many people you can contact in the world.  Until recently my greatest achievement in social networking was putting up a profile picture on my unused Facebook page.  Now, I have two Facebook pages, all linked to Twitter, a YouTube Channel, Vimeo Channel, three new forums, two new email addresses, a WordPress blog and a this web page.  All of this, within a twenty four hour period.  It’s really amazing how many people you can find and even more amazing how many people find, and are looking for you.  This goes way beyond the typical accepting and declining of friends on Facebook, most of whom you already know in your daily life.

I’ve been watching the statistics on the YouTube and Vimeos Channels and finding out just who’s watching the trailer for THE GRAB.  People in Australia, Germany, Japan and many other regions of the world.  It’s truly amazing.  How many Steelhead addicts are in Germany and Japan?  Most of this information we already know and is no big surprise, until you go to a specific site to promote a project or product you’re working on and you find, to your astonishment, that someone you’ve never heard of has already linked, posted and promoted your project for you.  The first time it happened, I was stunned.  It was almost as if I was beaten to the punch, in the best way possible.

We’re getting around a thousand views a day between Vimeo and YouTube and it amazes me statistically, where most of these views come from.  Most are people I’ve never met or heard of, who’ve been directed from blogs, websites and channels I’ve never heard of.   I just want to say thank you to everyone, for your interest and your support.  It means a lot.

MoldyChum has been kind enough to post the trailer on the front of their website, which is a big honor.  Thank you Chum.  You guys are fantastic!  Check out their site!  http://www.moldychum.com/
